90 applications were submitted in the verticals of Manufacturing, Agro-Food, Textile, Blue Growth and Health.
13 SMEs will be selected to join C-VoUCHER Bootcamp in March 2020 in Paris, France where then the 6 best projects will be invited to join a 9-month acceleration programme and could get up to €60k in vouchers for technology implementation.
C-VoUCHER is the first pan-European initiative funded under the Horizon 2020 Programme of the European Commission that will distribute a total of €4,2M to SMEs adopting the concept of circular economy in order to reshape and redesign linear value chains into the circular ones.
The second open call of C-Voucher’s Circularity Programme targeted innovative SMEs willing to join their circular economy acceleration programme lasting 9 months. This open call closed with 90 submitted proposals. The vertical attracting most of the applications was Manufacturing (30), followed by Agro-Food (25), Textile (14), Blue Growth (9) and Health (5), plus 7 applications that were combinations of a few domains.
The highest concentration of participants was from France (12), followed by Spain (11), Sweden (9), Denmark (7), Romania (7), Poland (5), Germany (4), Italy (4), Portugal (4), Bulgaria (3), Estonia (3), Finland (3), and others (18).
Next steps of C-VoUCHER second open call
13 SMEs out of the 90 submitted applications will be selected to participate in C-VoUCHER’s Bootcamp in March 2020 in Paris, France. Then, the 6 best projects will be selected to enter the 9-month acceleration programme, which offers the selected SMEs up to €60K in vouchers to create and design circular solutions by using design thinking methodologies and implementing new technologies.
The programme also includes tailored and dedicated Designer-in-Residence support (1-on-1 mentoring), vouchers for technology implementation, top business mentoring and coaching on finding further funding opportunities (both public and private).
SMEs will be stimulated to create innovative circularity solutions using enabling technologies (Digital, Hybrid & Engineering) and will be supported by C-VoUCHER partners linked to the project’s domains: Manufacturing, partnered with MADE; Agro-Food, partnered with Arla; Textile, partnered with Lifestyle and Design Cluster, and Blue Growth, partnered with Green Ship of the Future.
